I picked this red/green dot sight up on ebay for 55$. It is aimpoint r1 micro sight copy, even says aimpoint on it. It even be made at the same factory who knows. Anyhow R1's cost 450.00 usd so not a bad deal. The silver caps( with rubber o rings) with the two nubs unscrew and and mate up with two holes underneath for adjusting windage and elevation. Very nice click feeling btw.
The battery compartment house a 2032 lithium battery and doubles as a switch with 5 brightness settings for both green and red dot with 2 off positions in between red and green.
Here's the specs
Mini Mirco Design, Full metal construction
-Anti-glare reflective coating on front facing lens
also give good optical clarity
-Illuminated 4 M.O.A. Red Dot
-Windage and elevation fully adjustable
-Operating By 3v CR1632 Battery 1 Pcs
-Waterproof, shockproof & Fog-proof
-Fit all picatinny rails, scope rail, as long as it is
20mm wide
Reticle Type: Dot
-Illuminated Type: Red Green
-Obj. aperture: 25mm
-Magnification: 1x
-Brightness 0: OFF, 1 to 5 Red & Green
Brightness Level adjustment
-Dimension: (L) 63mm (H) 40mm (W) 45mm
-Weight: 128grams
Anyhow in use the dots are very bright even in sunlight. Very solid mounting. I wanted a small sight in silver just for bling bling appeal. It does have a small sight picture but the darn thing is tiny after all.
I did have a problem with the 4mm hex bolt being threaded all the way and not fitting one of picatinny slots that was very tight. I ended just replacing the bolt with a better quality one and machiing the threads off where it goes in the slot on the rail.
I think it looks good on there. A nice option when I don't want to use my 4x32 bugbuster.

Well finally after much thought I decided to make a new pump arm as I was not happy with the first one.
I made this out of regular maple to match the stock, finished with tung oil of course.
I have new photos up showing the progression , especially of how I make pump arms.
I Plan of putting more coats of tung oil and then a nice beeswax and buff it up.
I am real happy with the outcome, thanks to many people on Caf who gave advice and critiques and AirgunArtisans who inspired me with all those nice photos.

Well after some intensive googling I decided on an oil finish for the stock.
I ended up using a product called circa 1850 pure tung oil
The process for an oil finish goes like this.
1) Stock is finish sanded and spritzed with water to raise the grain and any errant wood fibres aka whiskers.
2) Sanded and 000 steel wooled till butter smooth.
3) The oil is appled liberally and wiped off in ten minutes.
4) Allow to dry ( i used a small heater to warm up my shop to dry it faster)
5) Several coats of oil rubbed in with 1000 grit wet sand paper allowed to set for 10 minutes and excess wiped off.
6) this process can be repeated until you are happy with the finish.
I'm going to be putting more coats on but I'm very happy with the results so far.
